Jamming
2021
Jamming is a series of seven life-size ceramic sculptures of a jam jar, a jam donut, a packet of Jam Fancies, a Pearl Jam CD, a Space Jam VHS and a pair of jim jams. This work was inspired by some of my favourite sources of comfort and draws upon nostalgia to playfully respond to notions of self preservation in what has been a very challenging year for many.
This jam packed series was created for the group exhibition Pop Mart, curated by Becca Freezer and open from February 25 to April 25 at JamFactory in Adelaide.
