Sixty-four 64 Games
2022

When I was younger I would get endless excitement from looking at the seemingly infinite number of games at the video shop.

The slow process of hand sculpting, kiln firing and hand painting each of these 64 sculptures has perhaps given me the same level of purpose and joy that playing the actual games would have.

This series is an ode to escapism, comfort and attempting to create order from chaos.

I first started making this series back in 2014, and first exhibited the entire series six years later in my solo exhibition, The World's Gone Pear Shaped, at MARS Gallery from May 25 to June 12, 2022.

Presented in alphabetical order, each sculpture is signed and numbered, and each measures approximately 12cm x 8cm x 1.8cm.
