Looking forward to visiting my old TAFE tomorrow (08.03.16) to talk about my work to the first year visual art students. Hopefully all the students are super skinny and have straightened their hair, just like me when I was in first year TAFE, as seen in this very cool photo from 2007.

(Five artist pages featured in issue three of the Melbourne publication Funny HaHa, alongside some great television writers and comedians. Available online or at Kunstler magazine and bookshop in Brisbane.)

WORKSHOPS IN JANUARY 2016

On January 13 I’ll be giving a presentation my work to VCE and primary school teachers at the NGV (National Gallery of Victoria), in relation to the current Andy Warhol/Ai Weiwei exhibition, as well as suggesting ways of responding to the exhibition within the classroom.

On the morning of January 20 I’ll giving a presentation my work to VCE and primary school students at the NGV (National Gallery of Victoria), in relation to the current Andy Warhol/Ai Weiwei exhibition, as well as suggesting ways of thinking about the exhibition in relation to preparing a folio.

For more information on either of the workshops please click here.

From January 18-22 I’ll be co-hosting a drawing and animation workshop with artist Dell Stewart through SIGNAL, a government funded creative arts studio for people aged 13-25.
The drawings, which will be turned into animations, will be made in conjunction with the Sugar Mountain Festival.
On January 22 the resulting work will be presented in a closing celebration at ACMI, (the Australian Centre of Moving Imagea), and during the Sugar Mountain Festival on January 23 the animations will be projected on two large LED screens at the festivals entrance/exit.

The five day workshop is free but places are limited, for more information please click here.

On Wednesday January 20th, at 4.30pm, along with artists Dylan Martorell and Dell Stewart, I’ll be presenting a talk at the MPavillion where we invite young people to lead the conversation and ask questions about our creative process, influences and paths to becoming artists.
